Celebrating Time

*Deep breath* 

So, hey everyone. This blog is something that I've been planning since quite some time. The idea behind it is to just while away my time and yours too. Jokes apart, as an amateur in this field, I'm doing this to share some kick-ass ideas, thoughts and experiences with like - minded people, interact with new crazy arty people, and of course, share my art on a global platform. 

Art is something that I've been interested in since I was a kid. I would paint walls with my tiny little hands until I was whooped telling me not to do so. Why not?! Art comes from within the soul and is an awesome way of self expression, as most know.

Here's a painting that I did for a special friend on a very special occasion. Since he's big into rock music, it wasn't too difficult to imagine what I wanted to paint for him. But since I love research and also whiling away my time, I started looking at what could be different ways of interpreting rock music. I came across a lot of things...A LOT! But nothing struck me as an inspiration. Then my lovely friend, Pinterest, gave me an idea of doing the most obvious thing. The rock and roll hand sign! Thats it. Got my acrylics, brushes and my canvas, sat down for the entire day finishing this piece since I was too excited to give it to him. Use of bright and vibrant colors gives this, 30''X 23'' painting, a very Pop Arty feeling, which is what I was going for, BTW.
