Masks

Hey there! Hope you'll are enjoying reading my blog or NOT. In either case, here is the next post! :P

Being an amateur artist, I look up many of the great artists' work for inspiration. I am in complete awe of some of them. And mind you, I'm not talking about Picassos and Da Vinci's but amateur artists who've made progress and attained success. In my opinion, it's very important for an artist to grow not only in technique but also use this wonderful skill of artistry to paint their emotions. Art is a surreal way to voice your opinion in a crowd, without making a sound.

Few days back, I was on Instagram and found this video which caught my attention. It was a video where the artist, Glen Ronald drew a face within 15 seconds. I was wowed by this and really wanted to give it a shot.

Learning a technique might be quick, but perfection, definitely comes with time. I practiced till I thought I could make a decent - looking face and ended up with this piece which I call, "Masks".
