Lines and Curves

Hey, all you lovely arty people! So this is my second post in here and I hope you like what you see. *Wink*

Today, I'm going to share with you an artwork which I did for my best friend on her birthday and hence is, indeed, very special. Before I get into the painting, I would like to tell you that this painting is something that I managed to finish in quite a short time. My best buddy, you see, had a cat who was very dear to her and me, but unfortunately passed away a couple of years back. Hence, I thought, "What other way than incorporating the memories of our lovely 'Etash' into my painting?"

Done on an A4 sized cartridge paper, this painting is at its core an acrylic painting, with a hint of water soluble color pencils and a lot of coffee while I was on it, since it was late night. In my opinion, using textures and patterns are very important when it comes to the visual sense...it makes it look more detailed and this painting proves that premise. So, here's a peek into that night's work.

Hope you all like it and of course, feedback is welcomed.
